Since its foundation in 1986, Tethys has produced well over 300 scientific contributions, largely on Mediterranean whales and dolphins, with the intent of supporting science-based conservation action in the region.

About 60 theses (Laurea, MSc, PhD) were completed in collaboration with Tethys.

Tethys collaborators also contributed to the preparation of 75 IUCN Red List assessments.
