Work by Tethys in the eastern Ionian Sea was possible thanks to the commitment and dedication of a number of people. We are grateful to all past and present collaborators for contributing to field data collection, data analysis and/or project management. Special thanks go to Jen Alger, Nicolas Entrup, Alexandros Frantzis, Nicola Hodgins, Sigrid Lüber, Dimitrios Moutopoulos, Giuseppe Notarbartolo di Sciara, Giorgos Paximadis and Natalie Rothwell. The Ionian Dolphin Project is being supported by the Earthwatch Institute, the Tethys volunteer programme, UNEP’s Regional Activity Centre for Specially Protected Areas (RAC/SPA), OceanCare, WDCS - The Whale and Dolphin Conservation Society, and a Pew Collaborative Initiatives Fund by the Pew Institute for Ocean Science. In previous years, funding came from a Pew Marine Conservation Fellowship granted to Giovanni Bearzi in 2001-2003. Financial support was also provided by the UNEP/CMS Agreement on the Conservation of Cetaceans in the Black Sea, Mediterranean Sea and contiguous Atlantic area (ACCOBAMS), Agip, and TUI Corporate Environmental Management. Equipment, discounts and/or logistic support were offered by FieldWorker, Milan Civic Aquarium and Hydrobiological Station, Nikon, OCC Yachting, Psion Teklogix, Thetis SpA, Tuborg and Venice Natural History Museum.
